I. Microfluidics/Bioengineering Post-doc

Job description:
The person will be assigned to work on a microfluidics-related project. He/she will have to work with an already formed team to contribute his/her to the device design, making and testing. Some clean room work is possible.

Requirement:

1. PhD in microfluidics/MEMS/biosensor related areas (BIOE, ChME, ME…)
2. Good English speaking and writing required
3. AutoCAD skill required
4. Microfabrication experience required
5. Cell culture experience preferred
6. CFD skills appreciated

Other:

Training overseas in Corning’s US research center is part of the Postdoc fellowship. The stay in US is around 2-4 months per year.

II. Cell Culture Technologies/Bioengineering Post-doc

Job description:

The person will be assigned to work on a cell culture technologies project which will use human embryonic stem cells as well as human primary cells. He/she will have to work with an already formed team to contribute his/her expertise in developing the cell culture system.

Requirement:

1. PhD in biological sciences or a related field.
2. Good English speaking and writing required
3. Training in stem cell biology required. (hESC or human iPS is preferred)
4. Experience in cell culture and cell assays required
5. Broad knowledge of current stem cell technologies preferred
6. Knowledge and experience in surface modification and surface chemistry preferred

Other:

Training overseas in Corning’s US research center is part of the Postdoc fellowship. The stay in US is around 2-4 months per year.

III. Lab Researcher

Job description:

The person will be in charge of maintaining a chemical lab. He/she will also be work on an assigned project as an assisting role to facilitate the experiments. He/she will have to spend 30~50% of time working in a clean room.

Requirement:

1. BS or above in engineering or sciences required
2. Basic English speaking and writing required
3. Training in microfabrication and photolithography required
4. Knowledge of chemical lab safety preferred
5. Hand-on experience in cell culture preferred
